What's Hospice Care?

Hospice is specialized care for people on their journey with a life-limiting illness. This end-of-life care focuses on managing symptoms such as pain, nausea, and anxiety. Hospice care also provides emotional and spiritual support to the patient and family during this journey and after your loved ones passing.

Where Does Hospice Care Take Place?

Hospice care can take place in:

  • An inpatient hospital care setting for symptom management or respite care
  • A skilled nursing home or assisted living facility

Insurance Coverage for Hospice Care

Medicare covers the full cost of hospice care. Most private insurance plans have a hospice benefit to cover hospice care. Rely on us or ask your insurance provider to help you understand your coverage and benefits.
