Outpatient Therapy

At Faith Regional Psychiatric Services, our psychiatrists and mental health professionals provide comprehensive outpatient treatment for children and adults. Our mental health professionals offer a safe environment for you to feel empowered, rebuild hope, and move forward.
You’ll work together with your provider to create a comprehensive treatment plan based on your situation and needs. Your plan may include a combination of traditional talk therapy, behavioral therapy, and/or medications and will continue to be reevaluated based on your current needs.
You may consider seeing a psychiatric specialist if you are experiencing symptoms or issues related to mental health, such as:
- Feeling sad, anxious, or hopeless
- Changes in sleep patterns, appetite, or energy levels
- Loss of interest or enjoyment in activities or hobbies
- Avoiding spending time with others
- Intense mood swings or irritability
- Difficulty focusing or making decisions
- Compulsive behavior or intrusive thoughts
- Agitation, anger, or paranoia
- Hallucinations
- Obsessive-compulsive behaviors or thoughts
- Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
Treatments We Offer
- Individual therapy that can be coupled with medication management to keep continuity of care within one clinic.
- Long-Acting Injectables: injectable medications that release slowly, meaning the medicine stays in your body longer than if you were to take a pill, to treat certain mental health conditions.
- GeneSight Testing: a cheek swab used to determine which medications work best for you
Telehealth
Our psychiatric team offers telehealth to established patients to provide convenient mental health care. Depending on your location, there are in-clinic telehealth visits with our Norfolk providers, and we also provide telehealth visits in the comfort of your own home.
