 Therapeutic Recreation provides treatment and recreation services to persons with illnesses or disabling conditions. Treatment services, also known as Recreational Therapy, work to restore, remediate or rehabilitate an individual’s condition in order to improve functioning and independence, and reduce or eliminate the effects of illness or disability. Recreation services also provide resources and opportunities to improve health and well-being.
