Therapeutic Recreation provides treatment and recreation services to persons with illnesses or disabling conditions.  Treatment services, also known as Recreational Therapy, work to restore, remediate or rehabilitate an individual’s condition in order to improve functioning and independence, and reduce or eliminate the effects of illness or disability. Recreation services also provide resources and opportunities to improve health and well-being. |

 Marie Paulk, MA CTRS
A Nebraska native…Marie received her BA in Physical Education/Recreation from Midland Lutheran College. She also completed her MA in Recreation Administration-Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Northern Colorado. Marie is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and enjoys working with a variety of populations. Her professional interests include Experiential Therapies and Adventure Programming. Personal interests include walking, hiking, cycling, gardening and spending time with family.
 Juli Rahfeldt, B.A.
Juli graduated from Waldorf Junior College for two years where she competed in basketball and softball. She then completed her schooling at Iowa State University with a degree in Leisure Services with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Juli and her husband have three children and have lived in Norfolk for 17 years. Juli has previous experience working with Region 1(western Nebraska), Norfolk Veteran’s Home and the Madison House in Norfolk. Juli enjoys interacting with her patients and fellow employees at Faith Regional Health Services. |
