Quality Initiatives at Faith Regional
We're Going Above and Beyond
At Faith Regional Health Services our primary focus is providing our patients with the highest possible quality of care and services. As a result, numerous improvement initiatives are always in progress within the FRHS Organization. Some of these initiatives are required by regulatory agencies, such as Medicare or Medicaid, and others are based on areas that have been identified by Faith Regional staff members for possible improvement. Whether these initiatives are required or not, at any given time, our employees and physicians may be involved in up to 100 quality improvement teams. The results of these work teams often allow Faith Regional to significantly improve the way we provide care, which translates into better clinical outcomes for our patients.

Awards
At Faith Regional Health Services we strive for excellence in all we do. We believe in putting our Mission, Vision and Values into practice in everything that we do each day. As a result of these efforts, Faith Regional has been recognized as a leader in providing quality healthcare services and has received numerous awards during the past several years. Some of these awards include two Edgerton State Quality Awards in 2001 and 2004, VHA Leadership Awards for Clinical Excellence in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and Recognition for Quality award from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska in 2007. Other Faith Regional efforts have also received national and statewide recognition in recent years.
Hospital Compare
Hospital Compare Facility Comparisons contains the most recent data available from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)/U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) for the Hospital Compare Quality Reporting Program. This data compares the results of Faith Regional Health Services to 13 other Nebraska Hospitals of similar or larger size, as well as to the United States and Nebraska Hospital Averages for several different indicators.
Faith Regional Health Services participates in the Hospital Compare program as part of our ongoing participation in the Medicare Program.

Patient Satisfaction

Balanced Scorecard Report
Each month, the Faith Regional Health Services Board of Directors receives a “Balanced Scorecard” report, which provides a summary of Faith Regional’s performance in a number of key areas related to the current FRHS Strategic Plan. This report provides the board with a snapshot of the organization’s performance compared to strategic goals, national benchmarks and other criteria. As a result, the board is able to make decisions related to these key indicators on a proactive and timely basis.

Process Improvement Teams
Faith Regional Health Services’ commitment to quality is an ongoing effort. Throughout the organization, numerous quality improvement teams are always working to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that will improve the overall quality of care that is provided to our patients. Process Improvement Work Teams, composed of hundreds of Faith Regional staff members, provide the organization with some of the most proactive and effective means of ensuring that all patients that we care for are receiving the highest possible quality of care and service.
