The Spiritual Care department
makes daily visitations to patients prior to surgeries
and is available for other services to both patients
and their families. Some of the specific patients the
department visits are as follows:
- Inpatients and residents –
assess spiritual/religious needs and offer pastoral
care
- Oncology and dialysis patients
as needed
- Hospice patients in their
own homes or in nursing homes
- Behavioral health patients - spirituality
groups and personal visitations
- Cardiac rehab patients for spiritual
counseling on the emotional effects of heart disease
In addition, Spiritual Care provides or arranges for religious services and rites according to patient traditions. Chaplains are available on a 24-hour on-call basis. Memorial services are conducted, in cooperation with other hospital departments, for families of patients who have died.
The department also facilitates bereavement support groups. These are designed to provide a safe place to process grief, receive support from others who have experienced loss and learn ways to effectively cope wih grief. Click here for a printable registration form.

Daily Worship
Services
Worship services are conducted daily for patients, families and staff of Faith Regional, Monday - Friday at 11:00 a.m., from the West Campus chapel. Patients and visitors are invited to view the daily services on Channel 20 from any of the West Campus televisions. Video tapes of the services may also be borrowed.
Inspiration Channel
Comforting audio and video is available on Channel 20 (West Campus) and Channel 85 (East Campus).
