Medical Advocacy Services for Healthcare (M.A.S.H.)

The cost of health care can be a challenge to those patients with limited resources. Faith Regional Health Services has implemented a new financial assistance program for those who may qualify. Faith Regional is only the second hospital in Nebraska to utilize Medical Advocacy Services for Healthcare, Inc. (MASH).

Often, self-pay patients are eligible for public benefits such as Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income Disability and Medicare Disability, however, they are unable to determine their eligibility due to the complex application process. Faith Regional and MASH, Inc. collaborated by providing a local advocate to ensure the best service to patients and assistance in determining their eligibility for public benefit programs. The MASH advocate works with the patient throughout the process of application completion, submission, follow-up and any resulting appeals that may be required. There is no cost to the patient for MASH services.
