Some of the Signs and Symptoms include sudden:
- Numbness,, weakness or paralysis of your face, arm or leg (usually on one side of the body)
- Difficulty speaking or understanding speech
- Blurred, double or decreased vision
- Dizziness, loss of balance or loss of coordination
- Confusion or problems with memory, spatial orientation or perception
Experiencing any of these symptoms is a medical emergency - call 9-1-1 or go to your local emergency room immediately. |
F = FACE - Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
A = ARM - Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S = SPEECH - Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Does the speech sound slurred or strange?
T = TIME - If you observe any of these signs, call 9-1-1. |
