 Gerald Weinstein, MD, FACS, a cardiothoracic surgeon, offers patients a full spectrum of cardiac and general thoracic procedures.
A born New Yorker, Dr. Weinstein earned his medical degree from New York University. After completing his surgical internship and residency, Dr. Weinstein entered the United States Navy where he served as a general surgeon at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Newport, Rhode Island.
After his military service, Dr. Weinstein completed additional training to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Weinstein has worked at various hospitals and in private practices in New York, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. Three hospitals have received distinctive recognition and awards while Dr. Weinstein was on staff including a 5-star rating for a cardiac surgery program from HealthGrades, one of the best cardiac surgery programs in the nation by HCIA and one of the Top 100 Hospitals for an intensive care program by Solucient Leadership Institute.
