Funding and Wish List

Funding

The Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Centers funding consists of private donations, grants, special fundraising events, and fees for service. The United Way also provides funding. If you would like to give a tax deductible contribution to the Child Advocacy Center or Faith Regional Health Services please contact the Faith Regional Health Services Foundation at (402) 644-7301 or click here for a printable online donation form.

Wish List

Monetary Donations
The Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization; donations are tax deductible. Please contact Center staff for a Donor Envelope.

  • $100 provides for Court School for one child who will testify in criminal court
  • $250 provides for the cost of conducting a forensic interview of a child at the Center
  • $350 provides for the cost of conducting a medical evaluation at the Center
  • $1,000 provides over 65 hours of advocacy services for families at the Center

Toys for Waiting Room
Items must be new and preferably surface washable.

  • Activity and coloring books
  • Washable markers and crayons
  • Child appropriate VHS or DVD's for various age groups
  • Dolls or Barbies
  • Toy cars or trucks
  • Handheld games (fishing games, small videogames, doodle pads, puzzles, etc.)
  • Activities such as ring toss, bean bag toss, etc.

Stuffed Animals
Each child that receives services from the Center gets to choose a new stuffed animal or toy to take home with them.

Quilts
Some children have been removed from their homes due to abusive situations. When this happens, they may not get to take many comforts from home to their new placement. We do provide these children with handmade quilts or blankets to take with them to make their transition to their new home more comfortable.

Adult Supplies
We also provide services to adult victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Many times when a sexual assult exam takes place, clothing is collected as evidence. We provide new clothing items for the victims to wear home. All items must be new with tags still attached. Please view the list of the following adult clothing items for donations:

  • Adult sweatpants (men's and women's) in sizes S through XL
  • Adult T-shirts (men's and women's) in sizes S through XL
  • Women's cotton socks in various sizes
  • Women's cotton underwear in various sizes

Video tapes
Blank VHS, 6 hour
