Progressive Psychiatric Inpatient Unit
Newly opened in early 2008, this Acute/Sub-Acute unit includes the addition of the Therapeutic Community Model to patients with a psychiatric diagnosis. The Therapeutic Community Model includes a longer length of stay and can provide treatment for patients with less severe mental illness. This model of care includes over 40 hours of structured weekly programming and incorporates Master Level therapists into the patient's recovery.
Treatment Includes:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Medical Management
The unit is located on the fourth floor of Faith Regional's East Campus and includes three private rooms and three semi-private rooms that can enhance socialization between the patients as part of the recovery process.
Intensive Behavioral Health Unit
The Behavioral Health unit is a 13-bed unit designed to care for adults 19 and over suffering from a range of mental illnesses. Acute inpatient psychiatric services for major depression, anxiety disorders or chronic mental illnesses are available for people in a 22-county area. The unit also provides the assessment and evaluation of patients under emergency protective custody in the 22-county area.
Most hospital stays are short, with the behavioral health unit acting as a referral source for outpatient services, referring 85-90% of patients to other agencies or offices.
