What is Faith Regional Foundation?
Chances are you've probably heard of Faith Regional Health Services Foundation. But, you may have no idea what it is or why it is so necessary.

Simply put, the Foundation raises money and community awareness for the hospital. Through fund-raising efforts and community education, it helps keep the hospital connected with the communities it serves.

Today, hospitals throughout the U.S. often receive less reimbursement from insurance companies and the government than what it costs to provide the services. This reduction in payment costs hospitals billions of dollars every year. At the same time, the costs of labor, medications and technology are increasing. Add to that the approximately 40 million uninsured Americans who need healthcare whether they can pay or not. Taken together, these forces have created very difficult times for hospitals in recent years. These strains have made foundations and fund raising more important than ever for hospitals to survive.

Faith Regional's Foundation raises money in several different ways, including annual mailings to former patients and community members, capital campaigns, planned giving of an estate through a will, endowments and special events. Contributions from these sources help with building or maintaining facilities, buying new equipment or making up losses from operating costs.
