Intensive Care

The intensive care unit provides acute hospital care to patients with suspected cardiac problems or trauma conditions, those who have undergone complex surgeries, and those who are critically ill. Each patient is continually monitored from a state-of-the-art nursing station which provides a clear view of each room.

All RNs are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified, and eight are critical care specialists. The entire staff is capable of handling invasive pressure monitoring, including arterial lines and CVP (central venous pressure) lines.

The goal of treatment within the ICU is to return the patient to his or her previous level of care.
